The steering sensitivity depends on your controller. We're more or less equal, he may be a tad faster on a single stage, but I usually come out on top in a rally. And the power I move forward, which makes the car feel more controlable and purposeful coming out of corners, but a friend of mine does the opposite and powerslides through corners. This may lengthen breaking distances a bit but helps throw the car in to corners and gets the rear out a little easier. I always move the breaks two or three clicks to the rear. You should study the stage information at each Service Area and change the set-up where appropriate to get the most effective performance from your car. The other settings is more up to personal liking and driving style. Oh, and obviously the tires, that shouldn't be too hard.

The only things that I make sure to get right is the gearing, which is easy enough, (just match it for the longest straight) and the suspension which is more or less point and shoot, although a good starting point is to go soft on uneven or soft surfaces and hard on smooth gravel and tarmac. The setup really doesn't make that big a difference.

I've got CMR2 for the pc so it may not be exactly the same, but anyway: The only other thing is brake strength.the more grippy the surface, the stronger you make it.Īnd i NEVER fiddle with steering sensitivty or whatever it is.it really screws things up gravel, jack it up, snow and asphalt, drop it down. and considering the road ones are usualy twisty as all ****, having the thing loose is no good.Ģ> fiddle with the ride height, barring some stages with big jumps where you obviously have to soften up. youll find yourself running off the road a bit at first, but if you can actually keep off the power a touch longer in the middle of the corner, when you get back on it, it seems to pull your car out of the corner very nicely. On asphalt, make the thing push like a pig.put everything forward. whack the brake bias, and the power ratio etc towards the back on gravel, and on snow (but on snow maybe not quite as far back as on gravel). To be honest, theres very few things i tweak.ġ> the looser the surface, the looser the setup. Ive slowly dragged my way up to the level of winning easier rallys in the top level.
